Officeprofiles Environmental Policy

Officeprofiles works closely with all its supply partners to maintain standards and protocol on all environmental issues regarding its products and services. We continually review our warehousing partner’s policies in this area and strive to ensure the following company responsibilities are met effectively:

• Implement all reasonable measures to comply with relevant environmental legislation;
• Take appropriate steps to minimise its negative impact on the environment and to conserve natural resources
• Develop appropriate and comprehensive procedures and guidelines to achieve officeprofiles objectives;
• Introduce appropriate forms of instruction, information, training and supervision to enable employees to assist officeprofiles in meeting our objectives;
• Appoint competent persons to ensure that the aims of the policy are met;
  Endeavour to make improvements in environmental performance;
  Introduce suitable arrangements to allow for communication and environment policy forums;
  Review annually, and where necessary update this policy and any relevant Environmental procedures;
  Where appropriate establish working groups, including the Contaminated Land Group, to respond to specific environmental issues

Recycled products

With the amount of office supplies we use in our day to day lives it would make a massive difference to our environment if we could all use green products where possible. Officeprofiles assist our customers in the pursuit to minimise their impact on the environment by offering these products.

You will find our recycled products department has over 2000 products that are either helpful to our environment or they provide benefit to both growers and suppliers in third world countries.

These products are clearly marked with their environmental benefit, they will either assist the recycling process around the world or they will have degrees of recycled content (shown in the green icon). They may also be products made from sustainable sources and lines carrying the fairtrade logo.

These products can be found either directly through the recycled products department or in their relevant categories throughout the site, however our customers find these products on our site we at officeprofiles are only too pleased to assist them in helping the environment in some way by using green office products.

Nordic Swan

Swans Criteria vary between the different products.
Criteria common to all products groups are:

Attention to products impact on the environment from the raw material to waste – i.e. throughout the products lifecycle.

Standards with regard to quality and performance. The products must be at least as good as similar products on the market.
Criteria are raised repeatedly to ensure that a product carrying the Swan label is always at the cutting edge of environmentalism.

Choose Swan products.
All consumption affects the environment but some products have less of an effect than others. These products are entitled to carry the Swan label.
