Once you have chosen your paper you need to ensure you get the most from it and ensure that it's shelf life works for you not against you.
Paper storage tips;
Avoid moisture - to make sure you paper feeds correctly through you printer or photocopier you need to keep it away from moisture. Paper is made to a very low moisture level (typically below 5%) - avoid damp conditions or the paper will not feed correctly and could damage your office machines.
Do not overheat paper - avoid storing your office paper near a radiator or store it on a window shelf where the sun can affect its quality. Exposure to heat will effect the moisture levels of your office paper and lead to jamming in the machine.
Keep it wrapped - Again this is a moisture issue, once you have taken the paper you need from the wrapper reseal the pack and avoid letting the atmosphere breach the quality of your office paper.
Store near the machine - this is probably the best tip for getting the most from your office paper, if your store it by the machine for which it is intended then it will be stored at the same temperature as that machine thus giving the best chance of your paper jamming - if this is not possible always allow your paper to reach room temperature before using.
