Getting the correct labels for the job in hand.

Office labels and laser labels have fast become an expanding range throughout Officeprofiles.com. With so many to choose from and so many variations on what can seem very similar labels we have designed this guide to help you make the right choice and get the best labels for your needs.

The first thing to ask when choosing labels is what are the labels needed for? Addressing, office labels, filing labels, retail labels, archiving labels, safety message labels, packaging labels – the list of applications can be seemingly endless but some key factors in making the right choice might be;

Size
This could be governed by perhaps an envelope you are labelling, or the printer you are using – also maybe you wish to add your company logo to your print where a larger laser label or inkjet label would fit the bill.

Quantity

How many labels do you actually need? Many of the popular formats of inkjet and laser address labels are available in different pack sizes, these offer cost savings for purchasing the larger pack sizes.

Technology
How are you printing your labels? Inkjet and laser solutions are both widely available and also labels specifically designed for use on photocopiers, be aware that copier labels often have a slightly different label size than inkjet and laser labels do even though they could be in the same format (e.g.; A4 sheets 21 labels per sheet) – all actual labels sizes are shown in the product descriptions. Multipurpose labels are an ideal solution for use on a wide range of office machinery including; inkjet printers, laser printers, photocopiers and even thermal fax machines.

Ease of use

Popular label manufacturers like Avery now offer some useful product features to many labels including Quick Peel laser and inkjet labels and Quick Dry labels – again using these labels will depend on your chosen printer so check in the product description which ones are right for you.

CD/DVD labels

We now offer a much wider choice in media labelling to suit most modern applications but still the most popular form of media labelling are the CD labels and DVD labels. DVD data discs have a far greater storage density than CD’s so it’s critical that you select the correct labels when labelling DVD’s to prevent any reading errors by your machine. Label manufacturer Avery has developed some useful innovations in the pursuit of providing the best DVD and CD labels;

DVD optimised filmic labels
- These are made from a brand new film material that shows a far greater resistance to temperature changes.

DVD optimised paper labels
- These labels come with special tiny perforations to allow the label to both expand and contract without and compromise to the DVD disc itself.
