C4 envelopes are generally referred to as A4 envelopes, this is due to the ISO216 classification standards set out to standardise and classify paper and envelope sizes across the globe - well that's the theory!! in practice most people who don't normally work with envelopes fins the sizing descriptions and naming of envelopes in relation to paper a little confusing to say the least.

To make things as simple as possible (we can at least try) if you have an A4 document that is not folded and you wish to find the corresponding envelope then you need a C4 envelope - and yes you are at the right section of our office consumables website.

C4 envelopes are 229mm x 324mm (not including the flap)

We sell C4 envelopes in white and manila, in both window C4 envelope options and C4 plain envelopes.

Window positions can vary on C4 envelopes both in size of window and also in the position of the window, if your are unsure then please pick up the phone and we will clarify any queries you may have. C4 envelopes are mostly pocket style envelopes - this means that the flap is on the short edge of the envelopes or put another way, your papers will slide in from the top of the envelope.

Gummed envelopes are the old style of fastening where you have to apply moisture to a glues strip to seal the envelope  - this can be done either by using a sponge dampener or if you still like the taste - by licking them!!

Self seal envelopes - a much healthier option! require you to simply fold the flat over, apply a little pressure and the envelope seal automatically.

Peel & seal envelopes  - this sealing method involves peeling away a strip leaving a highly adhesive tape that again folds over to seal the envelopes.
