Ronaldinho to promote new office machines

Office supplies giant Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) is launching an all new brand awareness media advertising campaign, with a £1.4m intensive scheme advertising spend from January 2008 to run through until April. The purpose of the campaign is to increase awareness of the Konica Minolta office products brand in the business community.
The Star of the new campaign is the Brazilian ex ‘footballer of the year’ Ronaldinho with a series of advertisements running in parallel with the aim of demonstrating that the right office products solution can be the way for a company to raise its game in the marketplace. The series is to be called ‘The skills to win’ advertises Konica Minolta’s colour multifunctional printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners. The second series is to be entitled ‘Improve your game dramatically’ features the black n white InfoLine design of the new generation of Konica Minolta bizhub multifunctional office machines.
In the UK the office products companies media buying campaign has been devised by DWA using mainly established business to business print media the schedule includes quality national daily newspapers; office supplies industry and business magazines such as The Economist, Management Today and the Director; as well as key market verticals in the professional print, business equipment and IT sectors.
Commenting on the campaign, John Howard, head of UK Marketing for Konica Minolta Business Solutions was quoted as saying: “Konica Minolta is now one hundred per cent focused on office document imaging as its core business activity and it is essential that we communicate our brand and its values to the general office and business community. This high-profile intensive campaign featuring Ronaldinho will help us achieve that goal.”
